Castiglione Meeting was born in 2003 thanks to the efforts of Atletica Castiglionese sports club, and in particular thanks to the idea and tenacity of Elisabetta Artuso, at that time still an athlete, that became a skilled manager and organizer.
The meeting remained at national level until 2013.
Then from 2014, with the renewal of the track, it became an international meeting, growing every year more and more in importance and visibility, until it recently became EA permit meeting in D class in 2019. In that year the meeting obtained the best technical results ever, reaching the third national place in the ranking of FIDAL meeting project.

We totally agree with this thinking:
"Sport requires people to follow written and unwritten rules to make it fair. It expects people to behave responsibly to ensure respect, fairness and safety. In this way, it promotes social values."

Storia e valori

Il meeting di Castiglione della Pescaia nasce nel 2003 grazie all'impegno di tutta la società sportiva Atletica Castiglionese, e in particolar modo grazie all'idea e alla tenacia di Elisabetta Artuso, all'epoca ancora atleta, che si è rivelata nel tempo anche ottima organizzatrice e manager.
Il meeting è rimasto di livello nazionale fino all'anno 2013.
Nel 2014, col rinnovo della pista, è diventato meeting internazionale, crescendo ogni anno sempre di più per importanza e visibilità, fino a diventare recentemente EA permit meeting di fascia D nel 2019, anno in cui ha ottenuto i migliori risultati tecnici raggiungendo il terzo posto nazionale nelle graduatorie Fidal del progetto meeting.

Crediamo fermamente in questo pensiero:
"Lo sport richiede alle persone di seguire regole scritte e non scritte per renderlo giusto ed equo. Ci si aspetta quindi che le persone si comportino in modo responsabile per garantire rispetto, correttezza e sicurezza. In questo modo si promuovono importanti valori sociali."
